COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In Re-cap
Many thanks to Mike and Dan from COVVC for getting this together. It was a slow course because of all the cross streets, but anytime I can drive a VW in a pack of other VW's I'm happy. I'm sure Dan and Mike will post photos but since Deadhead wanted a few pictures, here goes. Well, I had an eventful...

Re: COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In
Cornerstone website says they open at noon on Saturday.http://www.cornerstonebrewing.com/ We might get there a bit before they open, but that's ok with me. I want to spend a few minutes in that old Army Navy Store a couple doors down. http://cleveland.citysearch.com/profile/7943331/berea_oh/whitey_s...

Re: COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In
I'm hearing it's going to be dry for most of the day. Rain is likely in the evening. Should be a good time. Caravan leaving from my place at 9:00am for any "westerners" coming through this way. If you "southerners" don't make it to my place, we can pick you up along the way. If y...

Re: COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In
I believe the Nature Center is a little south of Rt. 82 where Oaks Rd. intersects with Rt. 21. The park entrance is 1/4 to 1/2 a mile east of 21 (Brecksville Rd) on Rt 82. ...Go South on Chippewa Creek Rd about .4 mile and the Nature pavilion will be on the left. You guys are talking about two diff...

Re: COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In
Anyone know for sure where this cruise starts? I know it starts at the Brecksville Reservation Nature Center, but what is the address? I google the nature center and it gives me this address... 9305 Brecksville Road I check the Metroparks website and it has no address just the the latitude and long...

Re: COVVC North Metropark Cruise-In
Looks like Saturday should be a decent day. I'm going. Who else is in? If any of you "westerners" (Elyria/Lorain and all parts west) want to do a little breakfast with a "drive over" that morning, let me know. We can do pancakes at Lowell Street, or if you want, I can probably ta...

Re: 40 HP Refresh
'65 should have square boss heads and is the only 40hp head to have square bosses, as far as I've been told :? The Bentley 63-67 Transporter Manual goes in to quite a bit of detail, including engine/head numbers, about the changes that were made to the 40 hp heads during that time period. Yes Ken, ...

Re: 40 HP Refresh
Made it out to Richard Sedoris's place in Y-Town tonight. Real nice guy. He's pretty young, (compared to me! ), but I remembered his old blue/white split bus from back in the day at GASS events at Jim's VW. He knew Troy H. from back then. He's got a nice little shop set up. He's going to go th...

Re: 40 HP Refresh
Even the 40 HP motor Kirk gave me has mismatched studs/bolts heads. But I'm very appreciative! :D Speaking of Dr. Kirk, he showed up during the Cav's game and gave my motor a "medical" assessment. He even examined the components with a flashlight. :? Pushrods were ok. Nothing special...
