Post by Dual Port »

I took the plunge and bought this bus today:

It's originally Titian Red and White, and it will go back bone stock looking like this when it's done:

I'll keep you posted on details........

It's good to see that one went to a good home. It was in the Akron//Canton area right?

Yes, it's the one listed on Samba in Alliance, it needs rockers and outriggers but it's cleaner than many others I've seen for sale. It will be my winter project while my work is slow. I sold my big mig 10 years ago with the shop, so I'll need to get a small mig to do sheet metal work, as now all I have is a DC stick welder. Some of the patch panels came with it but I'm sure there will be a laundry list of "needs". It will go back to stock colors and stay stock height. It has no motor but I have several spares including a good fully dressed 1600 DP from my Ghia that will probably be its powerplant for a while. That's a long way off as it will be a full gut job and paint before anything mechanical is addressed.

Yeah, but then he'll sell it and be stuck with a dumbass username, like some people... :?

Although he was talking about building a single port stroker and we all know you can't ever get those things to run right
