After all the shit you've given people about worm drive hose clamps....
I'm actually surprised you have clamps at all since it's not on the pressure side of the pump
Good job not forgetting to weld the clutch cable tube

Now THESE pictures are of the quality that should be in repair manuals. You've shown not only what the final result is in each step, but how the hell you did it. Thanks --

Always great to read through these Bruce. Way to go getting that on the road so quickly, awesome job.

W5: Shit I've given? I don't remember that. I don't like people using 1/4" fuel hose and screw clamps, and yes, for a while I was using spring clamps on fuel lines because they look cleaner. I'd still be using spring clamps if I could find ones that fit the cloth braid fuel hose properly. The common ones available are just a few thou too small and you have to really fight them on. I think worm drive clamps look like shit.
"Karl": You know I write repair manuals, right? http://www.turbotraining.com/
Marla: Quick? I've had this almost two years, note post 1 on Jan 9, 2016. Due to life getting in the way I barely touched it last year. I did much more on Bus 1 in much less time, from purchase to paint/drive in 15 months.....

Yes, I know you write repair manuals -- but not for VWs! I know the audience would be small, but it could be a hobby in your "spare time"!

Bruce,
Great job as usual. Looking forward to a ride in that beast when the weather warms up a bit of coarse.

Cool -- when does the next semester begin?

Tune up day...
Re: '65 Standard
I went to install the front doors and realized I had forgotten/procrastinated to fix a weatherstrip channel.
This is pretty simple: Find some .033", grind the galvanize off of it so I don't get sick, cut to size.
Put it in the vise and bend the angles.
Fit it in place. Drill holes for plug welds.
Clamp. Plug weld. Grind out welds.Bruce Amacker
