Re: 2017 Winter Social - Poll
I don't know what whirlyball is but it sounds like it would make me dizzy. I have back problems which rules out tobogganing and snow tubing. Plus, I'm a freeze baby and don't like the cold. Go karting would be fun but with what I weigh I'm always the slowest kart on the track. The attendant usually has to adjust the governor 2-3 times just so I can keep up with the pack but I never do. Maybe they make a big block kart? Plus $950/hr seems pretty steep. That leaves bowling which I haven't done in 20 years, but hey, why not. Sounds like a good winter sport where alcohol is involved. Bowling it is.

My rank:
!. Bowling (its cheap and easy)
2. Go Karts (fun, but a little $ steep)
No real intrest in the rest.

Re: 2017 Winter Social - Poll
Doesn't matter a ton to me.
Side note: I grew up with the go-kart guy and his wife. He raced them when we were young and then did some sort of sprint cars when we were older.

Today is the last day to get your votes in!
It looks like bowling is winning. We will post more information once the vote is final. Thank you to all who participated so far. Your feedback and thoughts are both amusing and informative.

this will be interesting.
Re: 2017 Winter Social - Poll
The masses have spoken and Bowling it is! You're right heyed67, this should be interesting.
So the date selected is Sunday, January 29th at 3:00 PM. In order to avoid league play Sunday is our best option. We will call ahead and reserve 4 lanes. If we have more than 20 people bowling, we will get the group discount. (see the post above for info) There are concessions sold at the alley so you can get snacks and drinks while we play. Fathead brewery is across the way so we can stop there afterwards, if people are interested. That can be a game day decision.
This will be fun for the whole family, so bring the kids out, put on some funky shoes and let's have some fun. If you know you will be attending, please post it up. Having a head count would be helpful to determine if we need to reserve more lanes or not.
I am looking forward to this event to shake off the winter woes and get out with some good friends.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the poll.
