Damn, no love yet for the biggest show in Ohio?
The place was overrun with LEAKOILERS. Where's the Sheriff when you need 'em?
Anyway, it was a good time, although capital punishment should be in play for that DJ with his horrible music and hula hoop contests. Sir, I don't need to hear 'Wipe Out' by the Surfaris just because I'm at a car show.
Anyway it was great to see Kirk, Craig on the Boat and Aaron and Brad with West Side Danny and all the other usual suspects, although I really didn't get to talk at length with any of them. I sucked as a friend on Saturday.
Especially with Kirk. He made an effort to hang out, and it was great, but I was too busy looking at crap I don't need. Isn't that what this show is all about?
I also ran into Don from Canton and his daughter and bought some crap from Jimbo (Akron guy) who is always great to talk with.
The highlight of my day, besides running into all the afformentioned associates, was seeing this guy pulling a radio flyer red wagon with a kid holding up a sign that said "6 volt bulbs." Now the last thing I need are any more 6 volt bulbs, but on closer inspection he also had a bunch of new in the box Wahler Type I and Type IV thermostats. I scored several and felt good about my day.
Bruce had me buy a few select items that no doubt wil come in useful, then I called it a day.
So here's a few pics of some cars I saw. Sorry, none are blurry.
This guy had a bone stock '56 Euro Oval. Learned a lot from him.
This guy can eat while he's broke down.
This guy can fight while he's broke down
I don't get the mags/cragers (or whatever they are) on VWs?????????????
Tim's bus is sporting a new engine.
Not Ken's but nice nonetheless
Three nice MG splits
Can this guy come and get rid of cable?
