COVVC is talking about bringing 4 busses up this year, I would like 19 & 20. I think that's where we were last year.

Thanks Kathy, looking forward to it.

Awesome Kathy! Yes, that is where you were last year.

You will have to reserve those sites directly through the campground. Just call them up and say you are with LEAKOIL.

Looks like we will have a great turn out this year.

Here is an update for everyone:

There will be a cruise on Sat. We will start gathering troops and try to head out around 10:00 AM. This year we are changing it up a bit and heading East to Millersburg, Ohio. The destination with be Hershberger's Farm and Bakery. Here is a link to the location. http://www.ohiosamishcountry.com/listin ... akery.html

We will be taking back roads to the farm. Although the drive is less than 30 miles, it will take approximately 50 minutes to get there. That is assuming we don't get lost and have to turn around a few times...

Here is a link to a map of the route we will be taking.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Bb2O2 ... sp=sharing

After the cruise we can join together for lunch. The hot dog machine will be rolling. Bring a side dish or desert to share if you like. Maybe something from Hershberger's?

Also a couple of reminders: the campground does have activities like canoeing, horseback riding archery etc... that you can book directly through them. Or just bring a floaty and sit in the river if you want, there is a dock between sites #1 & 2. Finally, bring quarters for the showers.

If you really need some adventure, the Treefrog Canopy Tours is just across the street (Wally Road) for some zip lining... https://www.treefrogcanopytours.com/

I am looking forward to seeing everyone. If you haven't booked a site yet and still want to come, call the campground and see what they have, but don't wait too much longer, this is a popular campground.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Just got word that there is bridge construction on RT 39 East of Loudonville that is a major hold up. You may want to plan an alternative route.

Looks like I'm striking out. Too busy this morning with a meeting that went way too long and too much going on just to take a ride out and have to come back. Sorry I'm missing it. Hope everyone has a great time.

I'm officially saying a big "thank you" to Marla for organizing the Mohican weekend! Besides all the crazy stuff that went down, it really was the first relaxing weekend I've had in a long time! :D

And thanks to Bruce for leading us home... ;)

Yes, it was a good time, in spite of the several torrential downpours and flooding.

Here I am set up on the first site on the river's edge, about 6pm Friday.

I had built a nice fire and luckily I already cooked dinner, as there would be no more cooking that night. My firewood was floating in my firepit.

Joe and Jackie set up next to me, this was funny to watch them in the pouring rain.

The next morning I moved uphill to a drier location, this is what many of the sites looked like.

The final cluster, on mostly dry ground.

I've camped in the past without a canopy and without a vehicle to sleep in, thank god those were there as they took the edge off.
