Hey Phil,

Yes, tell her we love the curtains. I was just looking on the map, Bad Camberg is only 60 kilometers from Frankfurt where a high school buddy of mine lives. He has been begging us to come over & stay a couple of weeks with them. Hope they still live there for the next one!

Just got my new mustard yellow seat covers installed this weekend and thought I would go support a local historical society who was having a car show just a few miles from home. On the short drive over to Crestline, a big buck jumped out in front of me and now my perfectly smooth bus is smashed up. Luckily I was not hurt but it don't make it any easier. I was looking forward to hitting a number of VW shows yet this year and camping. Guess it will have to wait.

 Sorry to hear

Why not drive it the rest of the season the way it is, most people understand shit happens.

Sorry to hear that Craig. Glad to hear you and Brenda are ok. Like Kirk said, if the light still works, just roll it "as is" so you can enjoy it at a few shows. Looks like the bumper is ok. Does the door open and close cleanly?

I can imagine your frustration after all the hard work you put into the bus. The curtains and mustard seat covers certainly look awesome! I hope you can get it taken care of in the best way possible so you can put a bad episode like this behind you.

Bummer! This may be of some help and temporarily get you through the season. Your dent may be to high though.

There is more than 1 bus running around with a dented nose and a bra covering it. Bummer about your mishap.,but don't let it ruin your summer/fall camping. Put a bra on it and roll.

Damn, this sucks! :x
Glad nobody was hurt, except maybe the buck! Luckily that looks like a fairly easy repair, you can get to the back side of most of that to pound it out. Or find a donor piece to weld in.

Ditto! And I hope the Buck is now in your freezer for the inconvenience he caused you! As everyone is saying, don't sweat the blemish for the time being, and just drive it.
