 i also looked into l.e.d. tail lights, ninty seven dollars for just 4 red 2 amber 2 white all where 1156 replacements and 2 amber 1157 replacement, yeah 97.00 plus the flasher, the cost, i did not look.soo i went to a chain auto parts store and bought the 1156 s for 3.00 for ten..they work fine and shine bright as the l.e.d. s,i do have l.e.d.s in side for cabin lite,my van has always started in the morning using the radio and l.e.d. chips.and these were not the cheapest ones avalible.

You should install some relays so your switch will not melt and make sure the headlight grounds are good.

The 90-100's are overkill and depending on the housings they are installed in might have so much scatter your eyes will hurt.

I am running Cibie E Codes housings with 60-55's and will never be able to out drive the lights.

I have the H 4 s installed they work very well.low beams are awsome. no has flashed me so it must not be over powering.now the high beams holy poop they are bright and shine far down the road, street signs reflect back BRIGHT.i don t have to fix my high low indicater thats for sure.before the h 4 s i could not tell low fron hi.yes i did find some wires where looked like there was trouble or a mouse repair that needed some tlc.it can t be any worse than these new jeeps w/round head lites.as far as the kit,..99.99 at bus depot,it comes w/two relays,2 bulbs 90w/100w a couple of connecters and 2 fuses.i am very :D i did this. it took about 2 hours to install.i will try to get pics posted soon.oh there is a link to a ytube vidieo.busdepot look up h 4 vision kit and you will find the link.before and after shots,

found out that the 1156 lamps i used for my tail lites are 23% brighter than factory, just so you know,(kyle told me).so with the new headlites and brighter tail lites i am thinking of upgradeing my wire s over the next few months, just be careful and inspect your wires,as they do get old and fail,my head lite harness has a few say britle spots, and my tail wires have been modified for trailer hookup. i ll get some pics up of the new lites this weekend.one day i ll her ready for that cruz across the U S A. Alaska and even Canada. :!: 8-)

Nice job! :D Nice picture of "bike shop Dale" too!

I ran 6 Volt H-4's in my old beetle. They we're a definite improvement.

What about relays? Did you install them?
