Thank you josh!! Haha im diggin this thing! Ive never had a westy bay. Only vanagon westys. Atleast i dont remember having one? So all the brakes were redone right before it sat(1995) and look to be in nice shape. I ordered a full replacement set but i may wait and hold onto them. Also i got in and the stove lit right up. Theres still propane in the tank lol. Overall its in fair shape to others ive seen over the years.

Well ive broke down the engine that came with my westy(longblock) and im cleaning everything up and prepping for paint. When i first got it, it wouldn't turn over and i really wasn't interested in doing a engine build. This is my first type4 engine. After digging thru it and getting a feel for how they operate i felt impelled to take it apart some. The reason it wouldn't turn was just a build up of crud and mice nest and the alternator had frozen up. So i cut the belt and blew it all out with the air compressor and bam. Its turning. It seems to have really good compression and im stoked to start this project.

Made a lot of progress today on the body work. 90% of the undercoating is still there I had one bad area to cut out. I made the rear apron from scratch and part of the rear fender.

Lmao!! Im using iphone5. All my pics are upright when i loaded em? Oh well. Maybe i can edit them before i upload them so their upside down then when they make it to the site thier right side up.
