A little bit of history.

- bus came with Porsche 914 heads which I had rebuilt at Streetsboro Foreign Auto

- also with a progressive Weber carb which I quickly learned that it's a setup that Chuck vehemently despises :)

- My engine ready to be installed. It lasted 20 miles - half ways home from the shop it broke down and I had to tow it. By then Elmar already left for vacation so I was on my own.

- The camshaft got rounded in no time. Here it is next to a new one for comparison

- Brand new hydraulic lifters after only 20 miles

- a little cross hatch pattern left on cylinders

- Chuck organizes stuff

- while Mike gives me a crash course on cross drilled oil passages

- New silverlines. We joke about signing the main bearings

- instead I settle on the case. Btw right about now the bus is called the blue turd

- Rick lets me install a bearing when Chuck's not looking

- ready for crank shaft work

- fitment sorcery

- Chuck yelling at Rick for rods touching the case and at Mike for not having the cam gear assembled, I think.

- tin parts painted, holes for the porsche plugs capped

- fuel injection donor engine

- blower housing blasted nice and clean

- Chuck went all out and thoroughly cleaned and painted the push rod tubes

- Chuck testing thermostats

- Fuel injection conversion under way
