This may give you some ideas for making your bows and canvas cover. Here is a set of wooden bows that I made for the 68 SC.
I also made a set of wooden legs that bolt to the truck bed. You can make them any height to suit your taste/needs. I used my original bows as a pattern so when you put the tarp on it looks just like the original from the outside.
Just an idea.

That's Cool Ken, never thought of making them out of wood. I might know someone with a saw and woodworking skills

Im all about having your own business. It's the American dream. There is always tough times doing your own things, but there is far more better ones. When you work for someone you never know when they will cast you aside. At least when you run the show you control your own destiny. Stay motivated and be concerned with helping people and the work will be there.

That looks like mighty darn good work! You didn't even need to find some funky green panels. Were the inner rear portion of your front wheel wells (the front wall of the treasure chest closest to the nose of the single cab) needing work too? Or were you lucky and that part was in good shape?

Wheel Wells need some love Nick , and the Jack points. The part bye the door step were the bumper bolts to is Swiss cheese Also. All on the list for repair. I wasn't going to get into the front end, but I have all the parts ( ball joints, tie rods, steering dampener, etc. ) so I am going to replace those when it's back in my garage. Might as well make it all rite.

Pat, it sounds like our 68s (single vs westy) have the rot in pretty much the same exact places.
Maybe Craig's panel, the pink DC, or my westy was your single cab's neighbor on the assembly line or on the ship across the ocean
