I don't know if you mentioned it, and not reading 5 pages to see, but did you say if you were going full resto, or preservation?

We'll see how determined I become. Right now I'm determined to fix the holes in the floor and weld in the floor/slider I'll be receiving Friday! Lol

The slider section showed up, I'm going to clean it up, and figure out what it will take to weld it in. I want to put some epoxy on the bottom, there is some wear in the track that I think Will be fine but I want to make it 100%

And I drove it to my buddies house today!



I drove 8 miles today, got up to 70, it's ok, but the tires scare me.

This is the farthest this thing has moved on its own in 10 years!

Good to see it mobile.

When I went to get tires for my 70 bus about 6 years ago (been driven maybe 3k miles since then max) I had the joys of a torrential downpour and my wiper nut on the driver's side working itself loose. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy.

Yesterday my son and I went for a bit of a road trip to get some parts from Dave, we BS'd a bit, i got some of the parts I'm needing, and got to hang out with my boy for a bit before I left for the week.
