That's the plan! I hope to get it to my house while I am home this week, then I can work on wiring and other stuff

if you have a headbanger cabinet I might, if it's cheap enough for this project that is! lol

The headbanger bolts to the closet and screws to a metal tab that is present on the driver side of the bus (not present on passenger vehicles). More screws hold it in place at the back by the rear hatch. I would suggest not putting one in for those attachment reasons and because it hurts like hell. The later styles have a door, as do some split bus versions. The version for 68-73 (2 veneer styles 68-71 and 72/73) does not have a door, just a lip.

Gotcha, I forgot about the cabinet, I'll have to make my own, I want storage, but I fully plan on making the bed full width, so I figured something high would be nice, plus house some speakers back there.

I finally have the parts to rebuild my accelerator assembly. I had previously welded a hinge onto my pedal since it was all rusted to pieces. approximately $60 to make sure my gas pedal doesn't fall apart makes sense to me!

I started chopping out some of the rust on the floor, I have solid floors past the frame rail, of that I am pleased. The mount area for the accelerator pedal is rusted through in a few spots, so I'll have to cut that out and patch.

My uncle, who knows quite a bit about ACVW, was down and came to check out my bus, he tells me I have all of the tins, which I was unsure of, I have an AK block, with 2 pressure reliefs, he was impressed with the 091 trans, told me I have an alternator, and generally thinks I pretty much stole this thing from the PO.

this news made me smile a bit, then I drove it around a little more, and smiled even more!

Today was a little productive, I continued with some rust repair. I cleaned up the ancient grease in the slider track.

I cut out the passenger side dog leg, and started figuring out what it's going to take to make it fit.

This shows how bad the passenger side rocker/track is

Cleaned up the driver seat

And found more rust to fix

I really wish it was still the original color

Trying to determine the color. With the body work I'm doing, I'll need to get some protection on here soon....

This one:

Or this one are the contenders

Both similar, but the first one may be a bit too red for me

I do like that, but it's more than I plan on spending at the moment. I actually like the Fahrenheit orange a bit better, but again, actual mixed paint is out of my range. Trying for a stock ish color combo of orange and white, something I can spray and fix easily, because I'm ok, but not great. I've found that 2 stage paint is not my forte.
