Welcome Jay. Were you the Jay wandering around with Todd at the MVVC show in Ypsilanti?

Cool man! I thought the previous owner was going to give you the icebox since it was in his/her garage after it was taken out? Maybe I'm crossing stories in my head or something though. I have a spare from a 72 if you windup wanting one, just the wrong color veneer.

Well this is how it goes, I got the westy from Todd, who got it from the PO, who used it as his work van , he removed the icebox to make room to haul carpet, put the icebox in his shed which ended up leaking and ruined the wood cabinet, I could probably still get it if he still has it and make a new cabinet pending on how bad it is

. Ill keep you in mind , btw you have a green/white 70 right ?

That makes sense, water tends to really mess up those wood parts quick. The good thing is, the veneer is a formica type plastic stuff and the sink/faucet are stainless so they would be salvageable, same with the plastic inner box and door handles. If he still has it, definitely get it, the outside shell of the box looks like it would be simple to make if a template was available, and all the other parts that I listed above shouldn't get too messed up by a bit of water.
Yep, I have a green/white 70 transporter that I drove up there to Ypsi and am working on a 71 westy at the moment.
