In the process of aquiring a 73 914 with a two liter and 916 suspension.so far I have gotten the motor, cleaned the crap out of it,cleand the exchangers up,dismantled the long block ,I don't plan on spliting the case.I broke the heads down everythings good except exhaust vavles .its a low milage engine and looks as ifthe vavles on the one side wernt properly adjusted and peened the tops of the stems up.the guides are all in good shape .bill got me a great deal on valves and lifters witch just arived .the carbs are courtesy of a friend of mine and need to be claened and rebuilt but I have a set of fdelortos that come with the car also....

That's it for now

Really don't want to risk running the maybe clutch setup, the trans is closer to a 911 even if the engine is a type four .

Great project. Had one of those a year or so back. Got it running then sold it. Scared the crap out of me.
