Thought you LEAKOILERS would find this amusing. The Irish air-cooled site is planning a 'booze cruise'. Imagine that. I love the start time. Here are the details...

For the sake of being responsible, at least they describe things in terms of "walking distance".
Ireland is a funny place. They now have strict drinking and driving laws. Nevertheless, the population seems to have responsibly adapted. I remember recently being in a town called Athlone (Midlands) when the pubs closed. You can well imagine the condition of the general population. In any event, every one "Q'ed" up, and waited for the cabs that came and delivered everyone safely home. A whole cottage industry has developed around this behavior. The street "chipper" (food) wagons and the "take away" beer sellers were well in force. No one went without!
I kind of think LEAKOIL has a good level of responsible behavior, but I found the terms of this "cruise" hillarious.
BTW, If you're wondering where I was at, It's no surprise I was here...

The site promotes, "Most importantly there are 40 pubs within stumbling distance." The emphasis being on, "Leaving the bus PARKED" safely. The brilliant Scottish comedian Billy Connelly (Look for his stuff at YouTube!) said in a skit, "The rugby teams would carry chalk with them on their pub-walks to mark the spot where they all fell down and ended the night at".

Hey, HEY!... Leakoilers are no slouches either! We can give those Paddy Boys a run for their money any day of the week! (No offense intended, Sean)
