This was posted on the old forum which some of the new members may not have seem. I thought it is important to see how far we have come since my first LEAKOil event at the State Park Camping grounds on KI in 1995. This may have been the first or second year of the event before we moved to the 4H Camp. We've come a long way baby!!!!
This is Bill, Dan (old), Bob J., and Dan,s buddy (?).

Bill's SO 23 now in Australia, my 63 SC.

Dennis Maurer's 66 Westy (now mine)

Bill's son Andy, Hal Price (?) and Dennis' daughter.

Bob J's Ghia and Westy

I'm sure Sean was there in spirit

I had to go back a ways for those. Probably my first LEAKOIL event. Thought it is worth seeing. We can't forget where we came from or where we are going.

Great stuff! Chuck (yes, that Chuck!) got me involved in LEAKOIL. Initially at a VW show at the old Thurmon Munson Stadium in Canton, but that took me to Creekside Tavern, where I met Ken and the guys in Ken's photos. Creekside was a great time! Before LEAKOIL, I was a dedicated GASS loyalist. GASS was great, but then came the internet.
LEAKOIL sure has come a long way and new members and their stories are also important to the history of this group. I love to hear how new folks found their way to this bus trip!

Great pictures Ken.
It really is fun to see the evolution of the group... both the people and the buses.
