Registration for Kelleys Island 2020 is now closed.
We have reached our predetermined attendance limit.

Due to the COVID situation, and in order to provide a safe environment for the campers, and to comply with State of Ohio guidelines, we needed to limit attendance. For those reasons, we can not accept any non registered campers admittance to the 4H facility.

We hope that for 2021, we can again open the event to more of you.

Thank you for your understanding.

LEAKOIL ADMINISTRATION.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to Kombis on Kelleys this year. Despite the challenges that 2020 has brought to us all we managed to have an amazing event. Everyone was very respectful of the changes this year and it was appreciated. This just goes to show what a wonderful group we have. We couldn't have had better weather aside from the wind that eventually shut the ferries down on Sunday. The crisp but sunny, fall days are unbeatable here in Ohio.

I wanted to give a special thinks to those who unexpectedly gave some very generous donations to the club. This goes for all of all forms, monetary, materials supplied, apparel and simply taking time out of their weekend to help. This is going above and beyond and we want to sincerely thank you for your consideration.

Thank You!

Please keep posting photos from the event here. We love having these photos archived as way to look back and see where we were and how the event has evolved.

Being one of the last to leave the island on Monday, it looks like everyone got back to the main land and were all home bound. Stay safe everyone and we will see you all again next year.

As always, a big shout out to Bill and Marla for all they do day in and day out to make this group and the KI event a success. We wouldn't have a club without their efforts. They do all the heavy lifting. Many thanks!

My idea of a great campout is parking my bus in a paved lot next to a hotel with an attached bar. Since LEAKOIL hasn't done that event yet, KI is the next best thing! :D

Anyway, the ride up friday moring was adventurous in a 6 volt 40HP bus. Widefive would be so proud! Big shout out to Bruce for getting this thing dialed in!

I had to wait over an hour just to get on a ferry. It was super busy on the island, probably because of the great weather.

Since camping sucks, I decided to try a cabin this year. I was not disappointed. These we're redone a couple years ago and clean and functional. Besides, they sort of reminded me of the County Jail!

Far left - the Cincinnati-Dayton compound. Center - the parenting skills camp (Brandon, Lauren, Matt and Rachel) and the slow old man (me) on the right.

I like to try the Island fish fare. Even if the fried stuff doesn't always agree with me, I go for it. Here's the walleye sandwich from West Bay.

Marla and Phylis manned the store.

Folks were pretty good about the social distancing. Crazy times!

Great weather meant great sunsets.

Will brought this Japanese Subaru bus up for the day. Kind of cool.

Let's go Browns! Oh...damn that's the Pitsburgh bus! (Great folks from the Fresh Air Club who bring a great contingent!)

Everybody loved that suitcase scooter! Josh should have bought it!

Our leader - Bill Webner. Bill's been involved with bringing VW's to KI over Columbus Day weekend for nearly 30 years!

I decided to give the Captain's Quarters bar a chance for some perch and was not dissapointed. I'd rank it better than the Pump. They don't pre-bread it. Its prepared once you order.

I got off the island early Sunday with a couple in another early panel from PA. I heard the ferry was later shut down.
