Z Bed - late bay

No tears, but laminate is scratched/missing. Side compartment with ice holder. Side armrest. Must take all three. Should fit split, early and late bay. Needs a good scrubbing. Local pickup. No shipping. Make offer.

Re: 1963 Single Cab - A.K.A. Sanford

Nice job. That's not an easy task even with two. What rubber did you settle for? Years ago Bill recommended and I used West Coast Metric on my old SO23. Just wondering are they still considered the gold standard? Or does Wolfsburg now make something better? Or is it all the CIP1 same? I wonder who ...

Re: Just purchased this '66 Split California Roadrunner Camper

This reminds me of an incident I experienced nearly 14 years ago back in 2010. I was finishing the first MetroParks cruise in my '59 SO23 when I heard some awful noise coming from the engine compartment. I ran back to discover the crank pully had sheared off in two pieces. :o

It's really only a drive-around-town vehicle, and I'm fine with that, but after running this little 36HP motor hard for the past 8-9 years; the leaky split case trans; and the clutch chatter, I ...

WTB Swing Axle '61-'67 bug transmission

tranny.jpg

Looking at a long range plan to upgrade my oval to a later tunnel trans with a more powerful motor. If I can source a replacement trans and related parts, I'll keep the current split-case trans and 36HP motor mothballed for the next owner to achieve stock nirvana. I want to upgrade in ...

I love when I know nothing. And I love when my comment is on my knowing nothing. :D

But I will learn from the install. ;)

Re: '65 Standard

the only minor modification was the fuel inlet was setup for 1/4" hose rather than the 5.5mm that VW uses.

For $100 and your time and expertise, I'd say that's a great investment!

So you threaded the housing itself or inserted a threaded insert?

Would all the other components from a Solex ...
