I admire those who take old buses out on these long trips covering the American landscape. The photos are great. I hope I live long enough, (and get brave enough), to take my bus to some far away place... like Columbus!

Re: Yellowstone Trip
The 64 bus I own was brought to Ohio from California back in 1980. It had belonged to the parents of a fraternal lodge brother.
He said it took a week to get it here and going up the hills was sloooooow.
Time is so hard to come by for me, I just can't imagine traveling so slow, It would be like going across the desert in a covered wagon.

Re: Yellowstone Trip
Back and settled in. Official total of 4,365 miles and a hair under 20 mpg. I wish I could express or show how incredibly awesome it is out there. Photos just don't do it justice. Everything is big, bold, beautiful, and majestic. A different picture postcard around each bend. This is bus country. I could definately live out there.

Welcome back! Sounds like a most excellent trip, and the bus performed well I assume?
Hope to see you at one of the upcoming campouts and hear more about your trip!

Having just made a drive from Sac. CA to Michigan did you see Buffalo Bill's house in North Platte, NE??? What a cool/major piece of history.
And for those that want to travel and see the US, I would totally recommend Nebraska. Lot's of Indian/Frontier History. I plan to go back in a bus in the next yr or two.
