2023 Kombis on Kelleys - Oct 6th - 8th
Re: 2023 Kombis on Kelleys - Oct 6th - 8th
Kombis on Kelley’s 2023 has come to an end. What an amazing weekend we had. Despite the crazy winds, a little bit of rain and slightly chilly weather, we managed to have a great time.
We want to give a great big Thank You to everyone who came out to this event. Some people travel pretty far to camp on the island and join in the activities.
For those who asked, we had 96 registered buses this year. It goes without saying it takes a sizable team to pull off an event like this and we certainly have a great crew to do just that. There are so many who provide support, even the littlest things like helping a first timer goes a long way. While everyone does their part to chip in wherever and however they can, I want to give a special thanks to the following people.
Kirk Berhent who organizes and runs the silent auction
Phylis Levine for running the store
Matthew Keith for handling the keg
Brandon Antz for contributing to the goodie bags and registration
Steve and Angela Young for helping with registration and taking care of household duties
Dave and Denise Cunningham for organizing the kids events
Chuck Spence for helping with the hot dog station
Craig Stephens for helping with apparel and pizza delivery
And
Smittie and Tom for bringing cider and helping with the store
It is incredible to have such a large and amazing group of people that share this love of VW buses and contribute to the sense of community that this event entails. It is also endearing to see how many have made this a tradition within their own family to share between generations.
Until next year, keep the buses on the road and enjoy the ride.
If you have pictures to share, post them up.

Thanks for ALL the terrific silent auction donations this year!
We had toys, tents, puzzles, decor, bus parts, clothing, picinic, wonderful handcrafted, and vendor items too.
Thanks Again.
The Saturday night trick or treat, pizza dinner, and lantern lighting were also a hit.
It's hard to get pictures of everything that happens over the weekend, but here are a few.
