That looks like a very restorable bus, about the same shape as mine when I got it. It should be a fun project!

Looks like you have a some decent bones to work with. It's cool to see more of these non-Westy campers coming out of the woodwork. :D

Bruce- I've been a follower of your thread and am inspired by the work you did.

Kirk- unfortunately I was so turned off by the shag carpeting and so overwhelmed by the smell that I didn't stop to take pictures. I have it in garbage bags sitting outside the shop if you want to make me an offer on it!!!

Luckily it was probably rattle can with little or no real prep. What are you using to pull the paint off? I used to use Easy Off oven cleaner (in a spray can, not spray bottle) to remove lettering on trucks. It doesn't touch the base paint.

Looks great in the original paint, keep up the good work!

Bruce- I am using the EZ off oven cleaner to soften the primer it was certainly rattle canned on. Then I am following up with lacquer thinner to take the primer off and clean up. The few places that you can see in the photos where I burned through were caused by the oven cleaner I think. So I am only letting it sit on the primer long enough the soften it not take it completely off. Then working with the thinner and a terry cloth towel. I am pretty happy with the results. Below the belt line there is a coat of green paint that was put on with a brush it's a little harder than the primer and will take a lot more rubbing to get off.
