It's wall art, donated by a friend of mine. There's more than one kind of cool splitty. ;)

I welded in a seat mount for the 3/4 seat that I have.

Here it is done with both tabs and a plate for extra strength.

I finished fiberglassing the bottom of the floorpan seams, cleaning, grinding and blasting the center section and shot it. (I had already done the front third, now this is the center third) What a f'ing PITA that is to shoot paint upside down! I had to use my crappiest HF gun with a bottom siphon cup. All of my better guns are top feed which you can't use painting the bottom of a vehicle because the cup is in the way.

It came out really good. I ground out at least 50 drips from Wolfsburg and I didn't put any back in. I can see how they ran the shit out of the paint by how hard it is to shoot. Being that the drips were dripping down, that means the poor bastards in Wolfsburg were shooting bottoms of buses all day long and they were not inverted when they were shot.

Next- finish grinding and blasting the rear third and shoot it. My fukking arms hurt, I'm glad I didn't try all this at once. I received some stuff from WW including torsion housing bushings so I'll pull the torsion plates off, change the bushings, and blast/shoot them off the bus. Does anyone know if they are supposed to be a certain color like gray or black? I don't want to go any less than my 90% correct.

I have a lot more time in this than I planned, probably nearly 20 hours so far on the bottom. I figured 8 hours which was way light. I'm probably up to 230-235hrs right now.

Your paint job is probably 10 times better than what left the factory. If I'm not mistaken the factory used to immerse the bodies in a huge primer tank before painting.

Finished grinding and sanding the bottom third and got it shot today, it came out well. It doesn't take much hardener to get paint to "go off" at these temps......

Next- clean and paint the tranny, torsion bar caps, torque plates.
