Awesome work. It's great to see a show quality step by step restoration on this forum. :D I am sure it will be of great benefit to others who want to tackle such a project in the future.

[quote="Dual Port"]That was a joke, Chuck. The RR corner is actually perfect.

A joke? I was in tears over your harsh remark about my work, after all I did to help this is how you thank me? My gosh some Leakoiler's can be so cruel....

I finished the paint today, and it looks really good. It's starting to look like a bus again. I'm happy!

I'm going to use this 1600DP. What do I have to modify to install it?

- Can I use this muffler, weld up one hole, and put a bus tailpipe on it?
- Does the doghouse sheetmetal fit?
- Throttle cable flx tube- T1 work? (I can't find a listing for it)

I believe that you will need a bus muffler. TP's may not clear the apron and will exit into the bumper.

Need a bus muffler unless you want to cut the apron and bumper. Welding up one hole will not work, the internals are slightly different. That filter will not fit with a bus muffler, there is a short filter that supposedly will.

DH fits no problem.

The throttle tube might need to be shortened, Part number 111 721 551, shorten to 670mm. Originally there was not one, at least on the earlier vehicles.

This is the European exhaust used on the 1600 equipped vehicles. Might need to put a small offset in end of tailpipe to clear a split bumper.
