Busjunky Dave saw this in the fall by my parents' house, we looked at it this week and I purchased it today. I never saw it before, apparently the guy used to have it by his house but moved it to the backyard. It was in Cali for most of its life until he drove it to Ohio.

It'll need a motor, front floor, lower nose, and some work around the windshield. The California fender flares are gonna go.









This makes bus #4 for me.


M code 790 says unknown on the vw-plate site and I don't see it in the M code list either.

The slider track is pretty solid. I think the problem is the hinge with getting it to open and close. It's next in line after Emily, but will need way less work.

Pretty much everything inside it is trash. The apron, some tin, a partly spinning AM code block (I think that's what it said), rear bumper brackets, and a spare are the only useful things in it.

My dad was changing the oil in the 67 bandit beetle and heard a voice and saw a new beetle stop at the bottom of the driveway. A lady got out and took a photo. A few days later Dave texted me this photo. The random person was a friend of his who always sends him pics of VWs she sees. Most of the time it winds up being a VW he knows. In this case my way down the road project and the vineyard bus.
